Storm Center Update- Wednesday AM

May 21, 2014, 6:04 AM by Brian Karstens

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Look for another mild day in KELOLAND with a few areas of rain showers.  The rain will be most likely in southwestern KELOLAND, but a few sprinkles are possible as far east as Sioux Falls again today.  Highs will range from the mid 60s in far northeast, to around 73 in Sioux Falls.  Light north winds are expected, so it will really feel nice in many areas.

Tonight’s chances of rain will again center on southwestern SD.  Most areas East River will have partly cloudy skies with lows in the mid to upper 40s.

We should see another pleasant day tomorrow with highs in the 70s.  Temperatures should be a little warmer on Friday  with upper 70s in Sioux Falls and mid 70s in Rapid City.

More unsettled weather is ahead for the Memorial Day weekend.  The first wave of scattered t-storms should arrive on Saturday, with additional chances Sunday and Monday.  It won’t be raining the whole time, but be ready for scattered rain off and on through the weekend.  Temperatures will be warm in the upper 70s to lower 80s as well, a trend that will continue into next week.
