A much warmer day is in the forecast with highs near 80 in many areas. However, the fire danger will be high and a red flag warning has been posted for many areas. Low relative humidity, breezy winds, and sunny skies will elevate fire risk to an extreme level…so please use extra caution today.
A cold front will drop temperatures tonight and provide a chance for scattered rain. The best chances of showers will be between midnight and 6am. Highs tomorrow will be cooler with northwest winds, but highs will still be 60s.
The weather looks warmer into Friday and Saturday with highs returning to near 70 or above in some areas. We may see some scattered rain as well during this time period, mainly late Friday night into Saturday morning.
Chances of rain will also return Saturday night as a strong cold front drops south. Sunday looks much cooler with highs in the 40s. There could be some snow too, but the details are still messy at this point. The colder weather will likely continue into early next week.
