Areas of snow overnight have left roads slippery Wednesday morning, so use extra caution and slow down while traveling. The snow is quickly exiting KELOLAND Wednesday morning after leaving behind up to 2” in a few areas.
Temperatures will be rebounding Wednesday afternoon to around 20 in both Sioux Falls and Aberdeen, with lower 30s in Pierre and lower 40s in Rapid City.
It looks like stronger winds will increase again tonight in northeastern KELOLAND toward midnight. Temperatures too will be rising in most areas during the night.
The wind will eventually swing around to the northwest in Aberdeen on Thursday and create some blowing snow. Highs will still be in the 30s in most areas East River, with 40s expected around Rapid City.
Friday still shows a cooler trend, but we expect a rebound this weekend as highs return once again to the 30s in eastern KELOLAND and 40s in the west. In fact, we could see some 50s around Rapid City.
