The cold weather trends from the past few days will continue Wednesday in KELOLAND. Wind chill advisories are in effect for much of the area until noon Thursday. Highs Wednesday will be in the single digits above zero in many areas and winds will be from the northwest at 10-20 mph.
Here's a look at the Hour-By-Hour forecast today, with details on the cold weather.
Look for temps well below zero Wednesday night, with -15 forecast in Aberdeen. Bundle up and stay warm. Even Sioux Falls will be around -13. With that cold start, temperatures will be slow to recover Thursday with highs in the single digits above zero.
More improvement is likely on Friday and Saturday with highs returning to the teens. There could also be some snow on Saturday, a trend we will keep an eye on.
Also, we are still optimistic that next week will be warmer. Just how warm and how fast those temperatures will increase is still up in the air, but the trend is solid and it should be improving towards Valentine’s day.
