SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Look for a much warmer day across KELOLAND. High temperatures this afternoon will cruise into the mid and upper 80s in the east, with mid 90s possible in the Pierre area. Highs in Rapid City will also be in the upper 80s, but a strong NW wind at 20-40mph will develop late this afternoon. A few morning showers have been dotting the radar screens in central and northeastern KELOLAND as well. Most areas are dry, however.
Looking ahead to tonight, a cold front will move across KELOLAND, with 20 and 30 percent chances of rain mainly after midnight. The chance of rain will arrive in Sioux Falls toward tomorrow morning. Areas of rain appear to be most likely in northwestern Iowa. Highs will be cooler tomorrow, trending mainly in the lower to middle 70s for highs. Even cooler weather is expected on Friday, with highs in the upper 60s in both Sioux Falls and Aberdeen. Saturday morning could be quite cool, with some 30s possible across the northeast. We do expect a pleasant weekend, with temperatures in the 70s. The next chance of rain will also arrive by Monday of next week.
