Mostly sunny skies are forecast across KELOLAND with pleasant temperatures. Highs will be in the upper 70s in Sioux Falls, lower 80s at Aberdeen, and upper 80s in both Pierre and Rapid City. Winds will be light at 10 mph or less.
Mostly clear skies will continue tonight with lows in the mid 50s east, with lower 60s central and west. We’ll likely see warmer weather tomorrow with a few 90s West River. It still looks dry as rain chances stay in Wyoming during the day.
Thunderstorms will be possible in western KELOLAND by Wednesday evening, with that chance of rain expanding east on Thursday. The timing and intensity of the thunderstorms is still a challenge to forecast, so we’ll continue 20%-40% chances of rain for most areas.
We do expect more scattered rain into the weekend, but there are a number differences in the data going into the extended forecast. Stay tuned for more details as we get better information about the chances of rain in the days ahead. It does look more humid, however. Also, warmer temperatures are possible next week…just in time for the start of school.
