We have another quiet and cool morning in KELOLAND. Aberdeen has dropped as low as 43 this morning…chilly for late July! A few showers and thunderstorms have developed in far southwestern South Dakota near Hot Springs. That area will have a chance of rain today, but most other areas will remain dry. Partly cloudy skies are forecast and highs will be in the mid to upper 70s in the east, with lower 80s West River.
Tonight will be cool once again with lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s east, with mid 50s west. We’ll have another pleasant day tomorrow as the weather pattern remains unchanged with highs in the lower to middle 80s.
A slow, gradual warming trend is ahead in the forecast toward the weekend with highs mainly in the 80s. The forecast should remain dry until Monday. We do see a pattern change early next week with more chances of rain just beyond the 7-day forecast.
