A nice day is ahead in KELOLAND with skies becoming mostly sunny and lighter winds. Look for highs in the mid to upper 50s in both Sioux Falls and Aberdeen. Mid to upper 60s are likely in Pierre and Rapid City.
Look for even warmer weather tomorrow, but with the warmth will come an increase fire weather concerns. A fire weather watch is in effect for much of the region with low relative humidity levels and stronger winds from the southwest. Highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s in many areas.
Cooler winds will move across KELOLAND Wednesday night and Thursday morning, along with a slight chance of showers. Even though Thursday will start cooler, widespread 60s are likely in the afternoon and winds should diminish during the day.
Another warming trend is likely Friday and Saturday with highs mainly in the upper 60s to lower 70s. A stronger cold front will move across KELOLAND late Saturday or Sunday with highs going back into the 40s Sunday and Monday. Rain will be possible with the switch in weather, and snow could be a bigger story in the Black Hills. We’ll keep you posted.
