The weather will be improving today after a very busy day yesterday. The temperature made it to 70 for a high in Sioux Falls at 1pm, followed with near blizzard conditions north of Sioux Falls a few hours later.
The weather won’t be that dramatic today, but it will stay below normal today with highs mainly in the 20s and 30s. We also have areas of light snow returning to western KELOLAND. A general 1-3” will be possible West River the next 24 hours as this system develops.
A more active pattern will return Thursday and Friday to much of eastern KELOLAND as the next storm system develops. Right now, the amount of snow is still up for debate, but the odds of more accumulating snow are pretty high. We’ll be watching the latest data and updating the forecast through the day.
We do expect warmer weather by the weekend as highs return to the 40s and 50s. Think spring!
