Another mild day is ahead in KELOLAND with 70s for highs once again. A few light showers have developed in central KELOLAND, but most of the storms have stayed to our south in Nebraska.
We do expect a few more scattered t-storms in the Black Hills region tonight. A few of those thunderstorms could be strong with locally heavy rain. Showers and t-storms may redevelop again on Friday across the west, while most areas East River remain dry.
We’ll be watching a low pressure system to our southwest on Saturday. This feature should spark better chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms across the region. Some of the storms could be strong or severe in the west. Temperatures will be warmer with highs in the mid 70s to near 80. Warmer temperatures will continue through the Memorial Day weekend and additional showers and thunderstorms are possible. With increasing dew points next week, overnight lows are expected to be in the upper 50s to lower 60s, with daytime highs near 80. Sounds like summer!
