We have another busy forecast today as another winter storm affects parts of KELOLAND.
Winter storm warnings are in effect today for many areas east of the James Valley. This warning does include Sioux Falls.
The hour-by-hour forecast shows temperatures holding in the 30s today as winds increase from the north.
The current forecast has Sioux Falls in the 4-8” band, with lesser amounts west of Mitchell and slightly higher totals in portions of MN.
Keep in mind the wind will increase from the north through the evening, adding to driving issues on the roads.
Once this system leaves, warmer weather will return for the weekend with highs back in the 40s and 50s. Much warmer weather is expected by the end of the 7 day forecast with more 60s and 70s possible. Stay tuned!
