It’s a nice and relatively mild morning in KELOLAND with temperatures in the 20s and 30s across the area. The warmest weather is across the far west with mid 30s in Rapid City. We also have a few flurries brushing through KELOLAND, but nothing very heavy and this activity on radar is moving fast to the southeast. Look for afternoon highs in the lower 30s in both Aberdeen and Sioux Falls. Pierre and Rapid City will be warmer, with 40s in the far west.
We expect the warmer weather to expand tomorrow with the warmest weather of the week. Highs could reach into the lower 50s in Rapid City and Sioux Falls will be in the upper 30s. We’ll try to squeeze out one milder day on Saturday, but much colder weather will move back into KELOLAND through Saturday night with stronger north winds.
Highs will struggle to get back into the single digits above zero on Sunday, with another reinforcing shot of cold air possible on Tuesday. We could also see some light snow in the forecast Tuesday, but no major snow is expected at this time.
Have a good day!
