Look for scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast today in southeastern KELOLAND. The rain chances will slowly slide southeast through the day into northern Iowa and southern MN, while areas of western SD remain dry. Highs should be in the 80s this afternoon with winds becoming breezy from the northwest at 15-30 mph in Aberdeen.
Cooler, drier, Canadian air is expected tonight with overnight lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s with mostly clear skies. This will set the stage for a pleasant day tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 70s East River, with temperatures near 80 in both Pierre and Rapid City.
Next week will be mainly dry, although a few scattered showers will be possible on Monday and Tuesday in the Black Hills. Highs will slowly warm back into the 80s during the week, but hot weather will likely hold off for at least a few days.
