Storm Center Update- Monday AM

August 4, 2014, 6:34 AM by Brian Karstens

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast today in KELOLAND.  Morning rain has developed in central and south-central SD, with more rain in North Dakota.  Most areas will have a 30% chance of rain.  The rain chances will keep highs into the lower 80s for Sioux Falls and Aberdeen, with upper 80s in Pierre and Rapid City.

Chances of rain will continue tonight, with the best chances near Pierre.  Overnight lows should stay in the lower 60s.  An active forecast will continue tomorrow with chances of rain going up to 50% in Sioux Falls.  Rain is possible in all areas of KELOLAND, so watch the radar as you make your plans.  Rain could be heavy as the water vapor in the atmosphere grows into tomorrow night.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue on Wednesday.  In fact, there will be a chance of rain all the way through Friday.  The weekend looks drier at this point and a little warmer as highs start to rebound out of the 70s.
