The big weather story today is the warmer weather spreading across KELOLAND…the warmest since the 3rd of December for Sioux Falls. Look for afternoon temperatures in the 30s in much of eastern KELOLAND today, with 40s likely West River. Winds will be from the northwest at 10-20 mph.
Tomorrow will be mild again, although temperatures are expected to be slightly cooler than today. Upper 20s are forecast for Aberdeen, but 40s will continue in Rapid City. The warmest day of the week is expected on Wednesday. Sioux Falls could be in the upper 30s in the afternoon and Rapid City will likely see highs in the mid 50s. Pierre will also be in the 40s.
Changes are ahead, however, as cold arctic wind return to KELOLAND on Thursday along with areas of light snow. Highs will tumble into the single digits above zero again for Aberdeen and much of the east and subzero lows are likely by Saturday. Enjoy the mild weather while it lasts.
