Look for another warm day in KELOLAND with highs mainly in the 80s. We’ve had some scattered rain in north-central areas around Mobridge, but most areas in southern KELOLAND are dry. That will change with time as we head into the weekend.
Showers and thunderstorms will become likely for much of the region tonight. Thunderstorm chances will be 50% to 70% for KELOLAND, with some heavy rain possible. We may also have a few isolated severe storms. The majority of the rain will form in Nebraska a lift north through Saturday morning.
Warm weather will continue in southeastern KELOLAND Saturday with highs in the lower to middle 80s. Showers and t-storms will likely redevelop in the late afternoon and evening across the region, continuing into Sunday. Sunday’s rainfall will be most likely East River as cooler air moves in from the northwest.
Cooler trends are ahead next week, with more rain likely again by late Monday into Tuesday. It appears the rain will help to keep temperatures at or below normal through the middle of the week.
