Storm Center Update- Friday AM

August 8, 2014, 7:14 AM by Brian Karstens

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Showers and thunderstorms are possible the next few days across KELOLAND as an active pattern continues.  The best chances of rain will be in western and southern KELOLAND, with lesser chances the farther north and east you live.  Highs will be in the mid 70s in Sioux Falls, with upper 70s to lower 80s from Aberdeen to Rapid City.

Chances of rain will continue tonight from Sioux Falls to the Black Hills.  This will be the case again tomorrow with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected across the region.  Some of the scattered downpours tomorrow could be locally heavy, mainly in southern KELOLAND.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected again on Sunday, with highs staying in the upper 70s to lower 80s.  The best chances will be in southeastern KELOLAND.

Monday and Tuesday are looking mainly dry, but no hot weather is in forecast.  Another system will most likely affect the region by late Wednesday or Thursday, so chances of rain will go up at that time.
