Storm Center Update- Friday AM

August 1, 2014, 7:22 AM by Brian Karstens

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

A warmer day is ahead for much of KELOLAND as we track a few isolated showers and thunderstorms in the forecast.  Chances of rain are still low…about 20% in most areas.  Highs will range from the lower 80s in Sioux Falls to the lower 90s around Pierre.

Look for dry weather tonight with lows a bit warmer in the upper 50s to lower 60s.  This will set the stage for a warm Saturday.  The weather looks mainly dry, although a couple of isolated showers or thundershowers could develop in central KELOLAND.  Look for highs in the mid 80s east to lower 90s in central areas.

The next pattern change will start late Monday as chances of rain increase.  We will likely see clusters of showers and thunderstorms early next week across the region.  In fact, chances of rain may continue into Wednesday and Thursday, a trend to watch.  Cooler weather will arrive with the rain, with highs cooling into the 70s and lower 80s by Wednesday.
