We have a warmer forecast ahead for KELOLAND this Easter weekend. Starting with today, partly cloudy skies are forecast with highs ranging from the lower 60s in SW MN to the upper 70s in Rapid City. Strong winds are expected from the southeast at 20-35 mph.
Mild weather is expected tonight along with a chance of some sprinkles or light showers. Lows should stay in the 40s across most of the region.
Mild weather is a good bet tomorrow with highs near or just 70 in Sioux Falls with a slight chance of showers. 60s are forecast for Aberdeen, Pierre, and Rapid City.
Easter looks mild too with more 60s and lower 70s in KELOLAND. We will need to watch for developing areas of showers and t-storms late in the day across the southeast. Monday may trend a big cooler with northwest winds, but no major changes are ahead early next week.
A larger storm is on track for the middle of next week with better chance of shower and storms by Wednesday. Based on the model tracks to far, southeastern KELOLAND may get some strong storms if the Gulf of Mexico moisture tracks this far north.
