Storm Center Update- Blizzard Warning North Of Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Blizzard warnings are in effect today for much of northeastern KELOLAND until 6pm.  This blizzard warning in includes Watertown, Milbank, Sisseton, and Clark.  Expect whiteout conditions at times with strong north winds.  Travel is not advised in these areas. 

 

Winter weather advisories for blowing snow are also in effect for Aberdeen, Redfield, and Mobridge today.  A separate winter weather advisory for blowing snow is now in effect for Brookings, Marshall, Sioux Falls, and Worthington.  Visibilities will be reduced in these areas as well.  Make sure you monitor the latest weather conditions through the day.

 

Wind chill advisories are also in effect for very cold weather tonight and early tomorrow.  Wind chills of -20 to -40 can be expected in many areas East River.  While the wind will decrease overnight, the temperature will be very cold…as low as -20 in Aberdeen.

Expect another cold day tomorrow, followed by another round of strong winds tomorrow night and Friday morning.  In fact, another blizzard will be possible in NE South Dakota and parts of SW MN.  Stay tuned.
