Storm Center Update - Wednesday PM
March 17, 2010, 3:02 PM
by Scot Mundt
Partly cloudy skies will remain overhead as we go into tonight. Expect clouds to steadily increase during Thursday as the next storm system approaches from the west. It will meet with a cold front to the north to bring the thicker clouds and a chance for rain showers in western and central South Dakota. The rain will move into south central and southeast KELOLAND Thursday night into Friday. At the moment, north central and northeast KELOLAND will stay dry but cooler temperatures will move in starting Friday. The chances for precipitation are becoming less and less as the storm system is tracking farther to the south. We might miss the rain, but temperatures will definitely be colder with highs in the thirties for Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will slowly warm next week, but we’re watching another storm system set to arrive by midweek.
