We have one last dry day going across the area, as high pressure moves off to the east. Today’s highs are near- or above-normal for this time of year. We have 80s East River, and 80s and 90s in the West. A couple stray thunderstorms have popped up on the higher terrain of the Black Hills.
We expect skies to turn partly cloudy tonight and tomorrow. With a southeast breeze setting up, we’ll bring a chance for some garden-variety (non-severe) thunderstorms to western, central, and northeast South Dakota. Highs will be similar to today.
The atmosphere looks a little unsettled for the weekend, with low pressure camped out over us. So we’ll have a chance of thunderstorms this weekend into Monday. Highs will be in the 80s, near normal for the season. Still looking for warm to hot conditions next week.
