It’s another day with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies in KELOLAND. Temperatures are in the upper seventies in eastern South Dakota to the middle eighties in central and western South Dakota. Eastern KELOLAND will clear later this evening, while central and western South Dakota will stay with partly cloudy skies. Tonight’s lows will fall to the fifties and sixties.
Thursday will be another mostly sunny to partly cloudy day. There’s an isolated shot for a shower or two in south central and extreme southeast KELOLAND, but it won’t be anything widespread and it won’t add up to too much. Highs on Thursday will be in the low to middle eighties with light winds.
The temperatures will continue to go up a degree or two per day as we head into Friday and the weekend. We’ll eventually see highs in the middle eighties to lower nineties on Sunday.
It still looks like we will break the dry spell next week. Developing low pressure will move into South Dakota on Tuesday to help bring scattered showers and storms. Some of the rain will last into Tuesday night and Wednesday. With the thick clouds and rain, temperatures will be cooler with highs mainly in the seventies for Tuesday and Wednesday.
