Storm Center Update - Wednesday PM

May 21, 2014, 2:30 PM by Scot Mundt

Skies will be mostly clear for much of KELOLAND this evening, but thicker clouds in western South Dakota will eventually lead to scattered showers and storms.  Some of the rain will move into central and south central South Dakota toward sunrise while eastern KELOLAND stays dry.  Lows will fall to the forties to near fifty.

Thursday will be partly cloudy to partly sunny.  Highs will be much like today with numbers mainly in the low seventies.  It will be another day with scattered storms in western South Dakota and highs in the sixties.

The scattered storms will continue in western KELOLAND Friday through Monday with central and eastern South Dakota getting in on the rain chances by Saturday.  Computer models are varying on how much rain will actually fall through Monday.  Amounts are ranging from a quarter inch in northeast South Dakota to over an inch in western KELOLAND.  Temperatures will remain warm through the weekend with highs in the seventies and low eighties.
