Storm Center Update - Wednesday PM

March 19, 2014, 2:37 PM by Scot Mundt

Isolated light showers will move through eastern KELOLAND this afternoon and early evening.  Anything that hits the ground will stay very light and the chance for showers will be over after sunset.  It will be dry tonight with lows falling to the twenties with light winds.

Thursday will be sunny and warm with highs in the middle fifties to near sixty.  Winds will favor a southerly direction in central and eastern KELOLAND, while western South Dakota will have northwest winds at fifteen to twenty-five miles per hour.

The strong winds will move into central and eastern KELOLAND to bring in cooler air and a slight chance for light rain or light snow on Friday.  The cool air will last through the weekend with highs in the twenties and thirties on Saturday.  Sunday will be slightly warmer with highs in the upper thirties to middle forties with partly cloudy skies.

There’s a chance for snow on Monday.  Low pressure will move in from the northwest and travel over Nebraska by Monday morning.  This will bring snow to KELOLAND.  As of now, a couple inches of snow cannot be ruled out for anybody as computer models are averaging around a quarter inch of liquid.
