Skies will be partly cloudy as we head through this evening and tonight. Temperatures will remain mild with lows in the twenties and thirties. The mild air in central and western KELOLAND will move to the east for Thursday. Highs will be well above average for everyone with afternoon highs near fifty in Sioux Falls, near forty in Aberdeen, middle sixties in Pierre, to near seventy in Rapid City.
The taste of spring on Thursday will not last. Cooler air will arrive for the weekend as a clipper moves through the upper plains. As the clipper moves through, clouds will increase and there will be a scattered wintry mix likely for the northern half of KELOLAND. Most of the wintry mix will fall late in the day Sunday, Sunday night, and into Monday. Winds will also be strong with this clipper, so be aware of driving problems. Of course, northeast KELOLAND will have the best chance for the travel problems.
Cooler than average temperatures will return next week.
