Cooler air has already worked its way into northeast KELOLAND this afternoon and that trend will continue for central and southeast KELOLAND this evening and tonight. Winds will eventually favor a northerly direction in these areas to allow for the cooler air. Lows tonight will fall to the single digits and teens in eastern KELOLAND to near twenty in the central and west.
Thursday will be cooler in central and eastern KELOLAND, but highs in the west will be about the same. Even with the cooler air, central and southeast South Dakota will still be slightly above average while northeast KELOLAND will be at or slightly below.
Friday will be another mild day before the bottom drops out this weekend and into early next week. Highs will return to the thirties and forties for all of KELOLAND on Friday, but colder air will start to invade this weekend. Highs on Saturday will be in the twenties and thirties, while Sunday will cool to the single digits and teens.
Early next week will be very cold with overnight lows well below zero. Afternoon highs will be in the single digits above and below zero in northeast KELOLAND to the single digits and teens elsewhere.
