Skies will remain partly cloudy this evening and tonight as temperatures fall to the teens. Thursday will not be as warm as clouds will be thicker and winds will favor the north at five to fifteen miles per hour. Friday will be about the same with highs in the twenties and thirties with dry skies.
Low pressure will move through the central plains this weekend to bring a chance for a wintry mix to southeast KELOLAND. The best chance for the precip will be from Marshall to Brookings to Yankton and east. Things will start as rain and eventually mix and switch to snow later in the afternoon. I’m not ready to send out any guesses as to how much snow will fall, but some models are spitting out over a half inch of liquid. Northeast, central, and western South Dakota will stay dry.
Once this system leaves, the next several days will stay dry with temperatures at or above average through Monday, then sneaking below average for the rest of the week.
