Skies will remain partly cloudy this evening and tonight as temperatures fall to the twenties.
Cooler air starts on Thursday and the falling high temperatures will continue through Monday. Don’t expect much sunshine either, as skies will be mostly cloudy for the next several days. While Thursday will be a little cooler, highs will still be above average with temperatures in the forties. Friday will be colder with highs only in the thirties, but we also have a chance for snow. The best chance for accumulating snow will be from Highway 14 to Interstate 90. This is an area were amounts around two to three inches will be possible.
The snow will be done Friday night with many in KELOLAND remaining dry on Saturday. Saturday will have highs in the twenties and thirties, which is below average.
We’re still watching for snow in eastern and southeast KELOLAND on Sunday. The snow will start in northeast South Dakota Saturday night and move southeast. The best chance for snow on Sunday will be in southeast KELOLAND. At the moment, I won’t give out any amounts for Sunday’s snow because my confidence is low. The one thing I’m certain on is the COLD air working in on Sunday and Monday.
