Storm Center Update - Wednesday PM

November 28, 2012, 2:25 PM by Scot Mundt

It was another above average day for a lot of us in KELOLAND, but a cold front will soon move through northern and northeast South Dakota for Thursday.  This front will cool those areas to have highs only in the twenties on Thursday.

Friday will be a little warmer, but the real warmth will move in for the weekend.  Saturday will warm to the middle forties to low fifties in eastern South Dakota, middle fifties in central South Dakota, to sixty degrees in the west.  Temperatures will be even warmer on Sunday with widespread fifties and sixties likely.

The warmth will come to an end (for some) on Monday.  A cold front will eventually move through during the day to bring in strong north winds and cooler temperatures.  Right now, it all depends on the speed of the cold front.  It could be one of those days where we have temperatures remaining steady or slowly falling in western, central, and northeast South Dakota while southeast KELOLAND warms to the middle to upper fifties.
