Storm Center Update - Wednesday PM

November 14, 2012, 2:15 PM by Ben Cathey

We had another gorgeous day in KELOLAND with more on the way.  Apart from fog or very isolated showers, the next week looks dry with lots of blue sky.  We will be slightly cooler tomorrow but there will be just as much, or more, sunshine.
Tonight, we’ll be down into the lower 20s in most of KELOLAND.  Closer to Rapid City and Sioux Falls, middle 20s are likely by morning.  Very patchy fog is possible under clear skies and calm winds.
Aberdeen and Pierre will struggle to hit 40 tomorrow, while Sioux Falls should be about average.  Tomorrow evening the winds should rise slightly, with an influx of low-level energy.
Friday brings a warmup back to the forecast.  Saturday and Sunday have a few more clouds for arrival, but the weekend looks dry.  It should be an improvement on the last two weekends, which were not the nicest.  By next Monday we will be close to 60 degrees in many locations, especially in the far west.  We have good traveling weather leading up to Thanksgiving.  The next system that could make a big change in our weather doesn’t look to arrive until early next weekend.  Though computer models agree that something will come in, this storm is still ten days out.
