Snow will continue in western KELOLAND this evening but it will slowly taper off as we go into the overnight. Snow amounts of three to six inches will be common in the Hills of western South Dakota. Rapid City will receive about one to three inches of snow. Rain in central and northeast KELOLAND will slowly move east through the overnight. Light snow will be possible on the back side of this system, but the amounts should stay light with general amounts around a trace to an inch. Lows tonight will fall to the twenties in western South Dakota to the thirties in the central and east.
Thursday will start with the wintry mix along and east of Interstate 29. These should come to an end by the afternoon with slowly clearing skies moving west to east. Temperatures will remain cool with highs in the forties. Forties will continue for much of KELOLAND through the weekend. As warmer air moves in from the west and southwest, scattered showers will be possible Saturday night into Sunday.
