Temperatures will fall this morning in southeast KELOLAND as north/northwest winds kick in at fifteen to thirty miles per hour. We already have strong northerly winds in northeast, central, and western South Dakota this morning. Gusts have been in the forties for western South Dakota, but these speeds will slowly decrease during the afternoon. Afternoon highs will be at least thirty degrees cooler than yesterday; many places will be in the thirties by this afternoon.
While we’ll have mostly cloudy skies today, the sun will return Thursday. The sun will help temperatures warm to the forties and low fifties. This warming trend will continue for the weekend with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.
