Storm Center Update - Tuesday PM

July 29, 2014, 2:43 PM by Scot Mundt

Partly cloudy skies are common in central and eastern KELOLAND with temperatures in the seventies for central and eastern South Dakota.  Western and southwest South Dakota has mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the sixties to near seventies.  Isolated showers are falling in western and southwest South Dakota, but most of anything hitting the ground is staying very light.  The isolated showers will continue through the afternoon and into the early evening while central and eastern KELOLAND stays dry.

Skies will eventually clear tonight and temperatures will fall to the upper forties to the middle fifties.  Winds will remain light.

Wednesday will be much like today with sunshine in central and eastern KELOLAND eventually being replaced with partly cloudy skies.  Western South Dakota will have thicker clouds and isolated showers.  Temperatures will range from the seventies to lower eighties.

Temperatures will slowly warm over the next several days with highs returning to average or slightly above average by the weekend.  There will be a couple of nineties in central South Dakota on Sunday.
