On and off freezing drizzle and freezing rain will continue north of I-90 this afternoon and into the evening. At the same time, periods of rain will continue to move through southeast KELOLAND through the evening. Temperatures will remain steady for the evening and overnight. With the icy spots already in place in northeast KELOLAND, be prepared for icy conditions Wednesday morning.
The main low pressure system will move through the upper plains on Wednesday. This will bring another round of rain to southeast KELOLAND during the afternoon and evening. Areas that have been getting the freezing rain and freezing drizzle will have to be watched for more of the same Wednesday morning. During the day, the low pressure system will help bring warmer temperatures to the area. Highs will be in the upper forties in southeast KELOLAND to the low forties in northeast, central, and western South Dakota.
Dry skies will prevail for Thursday and through the weekend. Along with the dry skies, temperatures will slowly warm to the fifties.
