Clouds will remain in eastern KELOLAND this evening and tonight. While flurries and/or a burst of light snow will be possible, don’t expect much for accumulation. Lows will fall to the single digits for a lot of KELOLAND tonight, with teens in the west.
Wednesday will start with clouds for a lot of us east of the Missouri River, but the sun will move in by the afternoon. Temperatures will once again be cold with highs in the single digits and teens in central and eastern KELOLAND. At least winds will not be a problem with speeds of five to ten miles per hour.
Clouds will return on Thursday due to a clipper moving through the upper plains. Scattered snow showers will also be possible in northern KELOLAND that day with light accumulations. The temperatures will be about the same as Wednesday (teens in many locations), but the clipper will bring another shot of cold air for Friday. Friday’s highs will fall to the single digits for many in eastern KELOLAND to the teens and twenties in central South Dakota.
The weekend still promises a slight warm-up, with temperatures trying to return to near average. Western South Dakota will remain well above average with highs near fifty.
