Clouds will increase through the evening and tonight. Scattered showers are already showing on KELOLAND Live Doppler radar in western South Dakota. These showers will stay light with amounts generally less than a tenth of an inch. The showers will move into central and eastern KELOLAND tonight. Lows will only fall to the forties.
Winds will be howling on Wednesday and Thursday. Northwest winds will kick in at twenty-five to fifty miles per hour with gusts to sixty or higher. Numerous High Wind Warnings are in effect for Wednesday through Thursday. Temperatures will be much cooler with highs near sixty (close to average). Isolated showers will also be possible for Wednesday, but Thursday may bring a better chance for rain in eastern KELOLAND. Amounts on Thursday will range from a couple hundredths to as much as a quarter inch. Central and western South Dakota will most likely stay dry.
The winds will die down on Friday and temperatures will warm above average for the weekend. Many locations will return to the sixties for Saturday and Sunday.
