Skies will remain partly cloudy this evening and tonight. Lows will only fall to the middle forties by daybreak. That’s at least ten degrees above our average lows.
Tuesday will be another warm and dry day. Highs will once again get to the seventies and low eighties, close to twenty degrees above average. But the warmth will come to an end on Wednesday. A cold front will move through (starting Tuesday night) allowing for very strong northwest winds. High Wind Watches are already in effect for central, north central, and western KELOLAND due to gusts near sixty miles per hour. We’ll have to watch eastern KELOLAND on Wednesday and Thursday, as wind gusts will be approaching the sixty mile per hour range as well. Temperatures will be nearly twenty degrees cooler in many locations with highs near sixty degrees on Wednesday. Scattered light showers will also be possible.
The cooler weather will last for the rest of the week and through the weekend, but the winds will be a lot lighter.
