Storm Center Update - Thursday PM

August 21, 2014, 3:26 PM by Grant Smith

Humidity looks to stay around in KELOLAND for the rest of the week until the next surface low pressure moves through and pushes all the moisture out of the area, which is expected to happen near the end of the weekend.

For tonight, lows cooling down to the low to mid-60s with chances for rain for central and western KELOLAND. Otherwise, a few clouds will remain in the area.

For Friday, the next storm system will be getting closer so chance for storms for western, central, and northeast KELOLAND mainly in the afternoon times. Highs a little cooler, ranging from the upper 70s in the west to mid-80s for central and southeastern KELOLAND while northeastern South Dakota will top out in the low 80s.

The weekend brings more showers and storms as the low pressure looks to pass right over the area. Also, we’ll see cooler weather as highs will only reach the low to mid-70s for much of the area.

Next work week will start off dry but more showers look to move in Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures next will also stay cool, staying in the low to mid-70s for much of the week.
