Storm Center Update - Thursday PM

August 14, 2014, 3:22 PM by Grant Smith

Surface low pressure moving through KELOLAND will continue the rain for the eastern side of KELOLAND for the evening and overnight hours. We could see some redevelopment of showers and storms for the west during the same time and those storms will move east throughout the overnight night hours into Friday. Overnight lows tonight cooling to the 60s tonight.

Showers and storms continue to move through KELOLAND on Friday as well so keep an eye on the radar using your KELO StormTracker smart phone app. That way you can stay ahead of the showers and storms. Tomorrow’s highs will be highly dependent on how long the rain stays in the area but highs are expected to reach the low to mid-80s.

The weekend in KELOLAND will continue to have showers and storms. The overall set up will be good for rain and showers to continue. Sunday though, chances for showers go down so we could see clearing skies on Sunday. Highs this weekend will be in the low to mid 80s. Some areas in the west could see upper 80s.

Next week, more showers could develop and move through on Monday. Leftover showers continue for the Sioux Falls area Tuesday and Wednesday, everywhere else could see clearing skies. High next week will be warming up to the low 80s for the east, central and western KELOLAND will reach the mid to upper 80s.
