A warm up is on the way but first we have to go through a cold spell and chances for light snow. Cold air moving into KELOLAND Saturday afternoon will drop Sunday and Monday’s highs into the single digits or below for Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, and Pierre. Rapid City and west KELOLAND will see highs in the mid teens. Snowfall starting overnight Friday and making its way across KELOLAND Saturday dropping around one to two inches around Sioux Falls with a little more on the Buffalo ridge and south central South Dakota.
Then southerly winds return Monday and so do warmer temperatures. Highs could very well be in the 30s or even 40s for Sioux Falls and Rapid City however, Aberdeen and Pierre areas will still be cold, highs in the upper single digits to mid teens.
