Clouds will thicken this evening and overnight for just about everyone in KELOLAND. Lows will eventually fall to the teens in many locations.
Mild air will return on Friday. Highs will range from thirty-six in Aberdeen to a warm fifty-three in Rapid City. Sandwiched in between will be Pierre at forty-four and Sioux Falls at forty-five.
Cooler air will eventually work its way in for this weekend. Highs will fall about ten to fifteen degrees, but many of us will still be above average. The cold air will continue into Sunday with scattered light snow possible as highs only reach the single digits and teens in eastern KELOLAND.
Sunday night into Monday morning will feature the coldest temperatures. Lows will fall to the teens and twenties below in eastern KELOLAND to the single digits below in central and western South Dakota. Highs on Monday will struggle to get above zero in northern South Dakota while single digits will be widespread in the central and southeast. Rapid City will be the “warmest” on Monday with highs in the teens.
Temperatures will slowly warm as we go through next week.
