Winds will slowly die down as the sun sets this evening. Skies will be partly cloudy overnight with temperatures falling to the twenties in many locations. This will end up being the first hard freeze in western South Dakota this season.
Friday will be partly cloudy and cool with highs in the forties to near fifty degrees. Winds will also be on the increase as the day goes on. They’ll favor the northwest at fifteen to twenty-five miles per hour. Light snow showers will be possible in the Hills of western South Dakota, but anything that falls will stay light.
The weekend will remain cool at the start, but temperatures will warm on Sunday. Highs on Saturday will once again be in the forties and fifties Saturday with highs returning to the fifties to near sixty on Sunday. The warmth will continue into early next week with highs mainly in the sixties.
