Storm Center Update - Thursday PM

September 13, 2012, 2:38 PM by Scot Mundt

There are a couple of clouds here and there in KELOLAND, but these will go away as the sun sets this evening.  With clear skies and light winds tonight, temperatures will fall to the low and middle forties.

Friday will be much like today, sunny and warm.  Highs will reach the lower eighties in central and western South Dakota with middle to upper seventies in the east.  Winds will be light for Friday, but they will be a little breezy on Saturday.  With the breezy southwest winds on Saturday, highs will be in the lower eighties in eastern KELOLAND with central and western South Dakota returning to near ninety.

A cold front will move through western and central South Dakota on Sunday.  This will increase the cloud cover and cool the temperatures, but it will remain dry.  Seventies will be common in central and western South Dakota on Sunday, but highs will once again be near eighty in the east.  Eastern KELOLAND will have a chance for rain Sunday night into Monday with the frontal passage.  Cool air will once again move into KELOLAND Monday and Monday night, with areas of frost possible by Tuesday morning.
