Scattered showers and storms will be possible this evening and tonight. The best chance will be in western, north central, and northeast KELOLAND.
Clouds will continue to increase from the south as the afternoon and evening go on. Showers and storms will develop in western South Dakota late this afternoon and evening and eventually move northeast. This is associated with an area of low pressure that will move through western South Dakota later this evening. North central and northeast South Dakota will have to watch for developing showers and storms during the overnight. An isolated shower or storm will also be possible in central and southeast KELOLAND, but it looks like the northern third of the area has the best chance during the overnight. Lows will fall to the sixties and seventies tonight.
Cooler air is trailing the low pressure system and will move through southeast KELOLAND during the day Friday. This will give southeast KELOLAND another shot at rain later in the day. In the meantime, northeast South Dakota will have lingering rain Friday morning. Highs will once again soar to the nineties ahead of the front, while temperatures will cool to the eighties behind the front in northeast, central, and western South Dakota.
An isolated shower or storm will be possible in southeast KELOLAND on Saturday, with dry weather returning on Sunday. While highs will be a little “cooler” this weekend (80s), the temperatures will gradually warm through next week.
