For this evening, showers and thunderstorms will start moving into KELOLAND starting out in the west and slowly moving east. Slight chance for severe weather in the west, main threat is hail and high winds but tornadoes cannot be completely ruled out.
As we go into the overnight hours, the showers and thunderstorms will move eastward. Rapid City area looks to see the rain mainly before 2AM, Pierre and central KELOLAND will see rain mainly after midnight. Aberdeen looks to see rain mainly after 2AM and Sioux Falls region after 2AM. Eastern KELOLAND has a chance for a few thunderstorms to get strong enough for severe weather, main concern is hail and high winds. Overnight lows bottoming out in the mid-50s.
For Monday, Rapid City could see some more showers develop in the afternoon hours. Eastern KELOLAND will see scattered showers and thunderstorms lasting until Monday evening. By then, the system will be far enough east that the radar should clear out. Mondays highs back in the 70s.
The rest of the week will be filled with an unsettled setup. Weak low pressure will get caught on the Kansas/Colorado border causing on and off brief showers here in KELOLAND. High temperatures still in the 60s.
