Storm Center Update - Sunday PM

As we go into tonight, the winter storm will begin tonight in the west. It will start as rain (maybe a few rumbles of thunder) and switch over to snow during the overnight hours. The snow will then slowly make its way across KELOLAND. It looks to be out of KELOLAND shortly after 1AM Tuesday.

Temperatures will steadily decline on Monday, meaning that the morning temperature is likely to be warmer than the afternoon temperature. Afternoon temperatures in the upper teens and 20s are possible.

As of now, snow accumulations up to two to three inches in the south and southeast, two to five inches in the southwest, five to nine inches in the west and northwest, ten inches or more north-central South Dakota, and four to eight inches in central and northeastern KELOLAND.

Watches and Warnings: (As of 4:19PM Sunday)
-Blizzard warning for Northwest KELOLAND from 9PM Sunday to 6PM Monday (MDT)
-Winter Storm warning for southwest KELOLAND from7AM to 7PM Monday (CDT)
-Blizzard Watch for central and northeast KELOLAND from Monday evening to Tuesday Morning
-Wind Advisory for southeast KELOLAND from 1PM to 7AM Tuesday (CDT)

The rest of the work week, will be a slow warm up so by Saturday, KELOLAND looks to be back to the 40s. There is also a chance for light snow again Thursday into Friday. Next weekend highs around 50.
