Looks like just one more night of below zero temperatures and the warm up begins for KELOLAND. Low temperatures tonight will get down into the teens below zero for eastern South Dakota and central and western South Dakota will be in the single digits below zero. Monday the warm up begins with southeastern winds bringing in warmer air, highs in the teens, twenties will be found around the Rapid City area.
Tuesday brings a chance for some light snow for eastern South Dakota. It looks to start around Pierre and move east, accumulations around an inch as of now. Warm up continues and maxes out on Thursday with 30s in the east, 40s in central KELOLAND, and even 50s in the west. Friday will bring a slight cool down as a wintery mix moves in from the north. The cool down looks to only last a day as Sunday is right back into the 40s and 50s.
