We had about a 40 degree spread in the high temperatures this afternoon but that didn’t cause the winds to stir up a huge amount. The winds will remain breezy tonight and into tomorrow. As the nearly stationary boundary slowly moves east, Sioux Falls should remain mild this evening but will cool late.
There is also a ribbon of lighter snow in the far NE. Most of us have seen less than an inch but more is on the way this evening. Clouds and cold will stick around this area for the next few days!
Later tonight, clearing skies will mean lots of cold in the NE, especially in North Dakota (if you are traveling up there).
Most of us will be about 10 degrees colder tomorrow. We will have some clearing early in the day which will provide some comfort. There is yet another Clipper system on track for the NE tomorrow. It now looks like most of this will just miss Aberdeen but Summit or Milbank could pick up some fresh powder.
Skies will clear on Tuesday but moisture will try to move into the western Hills on Wednesday. We’ll be warm and mainly sunny on Thursday and Friday, as well.
Over the weekend, another storm will move in from the south. This storm looks quite a bit bigger and we could get moisture forming into a band. It looks like the best chance for moisture is still in the southern half of our area.
Have a great week!
-Ben
