Storm Center Update - Sunday PM

October 7, 2012, 6:34 PM by Ben Cathey

Though still below normal, today was still pleasant with lots of sunshine.  Tonight will be milder with many in the upper 30s.  That's due to thicker clouds and west winds.  That precedes a cold front that will move in tomorrow.

Leading up to the cool-down the winds will be breezy.  We also have a small shot at getting some sprinkles during the day tomorrow.  The warmest temperatures for some will also be tomorrow.  Clouds will increase throughout the day.

We'll be in the 40s and 50s for highs on Tuesday.  Northwest winds will also be very breezy, sometimes gusting near 40 mph.  There is a chance at very light snowfall in the highest elevations of the Black Hills early Tuesday and a few others in KELOLAND could see some drizzle.

Another cold front passes through quickly late Wednesday.  That will drop highs on Thursday but we still expect to keep the sunshine around.

A low pressure system emerging from Colorado will impact much of our area on Saturday.  If this track happened in November, we might have a nice winter storm.  But since it's October, it looks like many of us could see some rain out of the system.
